The ‘I’ve got the cold’ edit

Whilst I am completely knocked out in bed with a nasty cold, I can definitely confirm that Autumn has dawned upon us. High time to squirrel away in those cosy winter coats … For the past few days I have been battling through countless stuffy sniffles, painful head aches and a very soar throat. With one minute having hard times to breath and the next having to search desperately for a tissue. Sounds familiar? Luckily I have gathered some beauty bits to make it all a little more bearable.

The first thing I grab when I have a cold is a nasal spray, more specifically the Otrivine Duo. A true life saviour when coping with a stuffy/running nose. There’s no better place than home, especially when you’re sick. Most likely you will find me with a blanket wrapped around me and a hot water bottle either on my stomach or at my feet. Best. thing. EVER.

When you’re down with the cold it’s important to rest a lot; the perfect occasion to hold a mini sleeping marathon. Start your evening with a relaxing hot bath. I adore my bath oils with the Aromatherapy Associates Support Lavender & Peppermint Bath & Shower Oil being my absolute favourite! Jump into your most comfy pjs and prepare yourself for a good night sleep. Things to help you doze off: A spritz of the Durance Pillow Perfume in Great Burnet and my Holistic Silk – Eye Mask. The latter is filled with lavender to help you fall asleep more easily. A beauty sleep essential.

Make-up wise it’s down to basics starting off with the Skin79 – BB cream to even out my skin tone. Next some heavy-duty concealing to cover up few blemishes and an obvious red-ish nose with my Nars – Radiant Creamy Concealer. Followed by few swipes of mascara; L’Oreal – Telescopic Waterproof. Finishing off with a dab of blush on the cheeks (Chanel – Creme Blush in Revelation) and a tiny bit of bronzer (Une – Healty Glowing Powder) to avoid looking ghost-like. Oh, and don’t forget your pretty pout … (Korres – Lip Butter in Pomegranate)

Something extra to please your sore nose; Origins – Drink-up Intensive Mask. Apply a thick layer every night to avoid a dry and flakey nose.

Whilst I pour myself another cup of tea I wish you all a great day! And try to stay clear from those nasty bacteria out there …
