Sometimes we crave a little make-up sesh like kids do with ice cream and attempt to draw the most perfect feline flick possible and to slap on the boldest lip colour at hand – if only slapping on was the right term. But on other days, we want to look at our best in the most natural way. Finding the right products to enhance those natural features is however not as easy as it sounds, no pressure though, Tarte has you covered.
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in the shade Exposed is all kinds of amazingness. Although the colour appeared to be much more pink than I initially expected, it still was love at first sight. I’d describe the colour to be a muted dusky mauvy pink, which is pretty accurate in my opinion. It provides just enough colour to perk up your complexion and enhance those non-existent cheekbones. There’s just something very flattering about this blush shade-wise but also in the way it manages to sculpt my face ever so slightly. And that’s not where the rave ends, it also looks stunning with whatever eye make-up look you’ve chosen to wear, Exposed will always be a safe choice – may it be natural or bold.
It has a solid texture in the pan but manages to provide the right amount of colour on the cheeks. It’s buildable but one that’s going to take an awful lot to overdo. There’s no powdery mess and blends in seamlessly. If it lives up to its supposedly 12-hour mark is something I can’t say for sure, but it definitely stays on from morning til late evening when I take my make-up off – It doesn’t need to be more than that.
The Amazonian Clay line from Tarte has acquired quite a reputation over the years, but one that Europe doesn’t seem to be allowed to discover? I’m so glad I got my hands on this shade but there are so many other shades I’d like to expand my collection with, starting with Tipsy and Blushing Bride.
Many people say not to be able to rush out the door without a dab of blush, but wait and see, this brings that need to a whole other level …
