September Favourites

September was sadly the last month of my summer break in which I’ve spent a week in the beautiful streets of Venice. I’ve written a heavy pictured post about it. It’s equally the month where school started again. Goodbye relaxed life! Beauty-wise it has been a month of discovering new things as well as rediscovering gems in my personal stash. Here are the deets on what I’ve been loving throughout the month:

The Body Shop – Chamomile Silky Cleansing Oil

Cleansing oils have the tendency to simplify things in life and therefore much appreciated by many. This offering has nonetheless sat rather unloved because I was worried that it broke me out, but I can now safely say that it didn’t. I’ve been using this on a daily basis to take my make-up off. It gets the job done effortlessly and fast, it’s truly amazing. And it saves me some cotton pads too. Taking off make-up is undoubtedly my least favourite part of the day but this definitely eases the pain.

Marc Jacobs Remedy Concealer Pen

This is one of my latest purchases and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s a clicking pen that dispenses product graciously. Its patented palladium cooling tip makes application far more pleasant than needed. It wipes away any evidence of a bad night’s sleep and leaves the complexion brighter, fresh, radiant, and simply awake. Good stuff, I’m obsessed.

Sisley Confort Levres Extreme

Lip balm was surprisingly much needed in August. Summer was dreadful and wet really, and so were my lips. I’ve tried Lamer’s, By Terry’s, and I was curious what Sisley had to offer. I was disappointed at first due to its Vaseline-ish texture but after doing some research I was chuffed to discover that it doesn’t contain mineral oil. It has instantly relieved my cracked, chapped, and painful lips. And it also looks exceptionally well onto the lips unlike any other lip balm I’ve ever tried. Most have the tendency to leave a white coat behind whilst accentuating dry and flaky bits which is not a pretty sight. This however gives me plump, juicy, and healthy-looking lips.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

This might easily be one of the best hair products I’ve ever tried and purse-weepingly expensive as well: That’s about the worst combination ever. It provides volume and texture to the hair without weighing it down or making it greasy. It definitely meets my expectations, and let me tell you, they were sky high. It gives that extra oomph to your hair when it’s having a dull day. It’s basically a good hair day in a can, who wouldn’t want that?

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb

As soon as you give this a spritz, you’ll release the most delicious scent: Call it a floral explosion that awakes your deepest senses. It has the power to turn a bad day into a good one, providing a smile on everyone’s face. This rollerball version is purse-friendly and makes application very subtle and easy. Gift me this pretty pink bottle and I’ll be the happiest person on earth.

Have a great weekend everyone!

So glad you are a fan of the Marc Jacobs Remedy Concealer Pen, too! I like to use mine on days that I don’t need much coverage. The color I have is more of a brightener than a concealer. If I have only a few hours of sleep, I need something much stronger and lately I’ve been loving MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. ^_^

Hi Alice! Such a nice compilation of favourites. I haven’t tried these products yet but I can almost smell them ;)

  • Kiss & Make-up

Flowerbomb smells diviiiiiiiiine! And I keep hearing amazing things about that
Chamomile Silky Cleansing Oil from TBS.

If you like using cleansing oils you’ll love this. It removes every speck of make-up, stubborn waterproof make-up included, and it’s just so incredibly fast and easy, and that for a small price tag … Really can’t go wrong with this guy! ;) I’m in love with Flowerbomb, I really am. <3

Damn. Okay, on the wish list it goes then :-)

I LOVE the way oribe smells. I’m not 100% sold on the product, because i think texturizing sprays just don’t work that well on me, but it’s far better than anything else I’ve tried.

Oribe smells awesome, true story! I actually had to figure out how the product is best used, and I’ve got it down to a tee now. I think it all depends on your hair as well … I’m bad at styling my hair but this makes it so easy! Guess you need to look at it in a positive way as it will save you a lot of money, lol. X
