New In from Clarins

DSCN9488 DSCN9492

Facial oils are requisite to combat dry and lacklustre skin. It’s probably the quickest way to give your skin a treat at the end of a long, exhausting day. A new addition to my bathroom shelves is the not so infamous Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil, which is 100% plant-based with extracts such as Rosewood, Patchouli and Blue Orchid to revitalise, tone and restore radiance to moisture-zapped skin. It also contains Hazelnut Oil to prevent moisture loss and the appearance of fine lines. It targets dehydrated skin at its finest but aside from that it also manages to deal with other skin issues as well: blemishes, scars and lacklustre skin don’t stand a chance. 3 to 4 drops suffice to cover my face and leave it velvety soft. I’ve been using it for three weeks now and my skin looks visibly smoother and plumper. I could even omit the use of an hydrating serum in the morning. I’ve relied on this almost every night and I don’t intend to stop doing so.

It was only a matter of time that lip oils were released, since facial oils seem to be a real treat for dry skin. This Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is as much of a treat for lips as the above is for the face. It’s a very lightweight formula that feels not one bit sticky or oily. It doesn’t slip and slide around but stays right where it’s supposed to be. Honey has a transparent glossy finish with barely any colour pay-off. The big fat spongy applicator is one of the most exciting bit with every use. It almost feels custom made on your bottom lips – talk about a hug on the lips. It’s perfect for day time wear whilst my Sisley Nutritive Lip Balm is now more reserved for nighttime for hardcore nourishment. On top of all the raves, it actually tastes very good as well. No wonder it has obtained a permanent place in my handbag already.

Both products sounds amazing, especially Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil. I love Clarins for skincare. I have been using their HydraQuench range and my skin loves it. x

I have tried the Clarins Brightening Range before and it was okay, nothing wow. I should’ve gone for the facial oils instead since they’re one of the most raved about! I missed your posts Alice!! :) Glad to see you’re back!

I haven’t tried the Clarins Brightening Range … I actually hesitated whether to get this one or to repurchase ANR but curiosity got the better of me, oops! And thank you Shari – so kind of you! :) X

Yaay! More Clarins is always a good idea ;-) I’ve the Lotus Face Oil but I’ll be picking up this one too, I’ve read too many lovely things about it.

Now I still need to get my hands on the Lip Balm Perfector so there’s still room for expansion. Oh, and I’m curious about the Lotus Face Oil, lol. I really recommend Blue Orchid though! ;) X

Those ROCK! You need them in your life. Period. The Lotus oil isn’t bad but everyone raves about the Blue Orchid one so I’m very curious ’bout it now ;-)

Hi Hahn. Do you mean the full width lay-out? I try to change it up. Oh, I currently use Ole Hendriksen Truth Creme Advanced Hydration creme and it’s such a beautiful one. I’m eager to try out more of the brand!

not an lip oil fan, not gonna lie because i just can’t deal with the oiliness on my lips, but I’m actually interested in trying this clarions lip oil now… might be nice to put on in the evening. x

Hi Elaine. The Clarins option doesn’t feel oily whatsoever. I’ve read that YSL version does, but this feels more like a gloss that feels light and non-sticky on the lips. You should try it! X

      • Elaine Licciardello

That sounds good to me! I guess I have to try it then! Thanks Alice! X
