Morning Skincare Routine #2

DSCN0331Half a year has gone by and – looking back at my previous Morning Skincare Routine I noticed that – my skincare routine completely changed. Even though I’m very chuffed with my current routine, I’m about to change few things up – as a true beauty aficionado it should be no surprise. So before I do, I wanted to quickly scribble down my routine to first of all share it with you and also as a tiny reminder to myself. This routine gives me a smooth, radiant and brighter complexion which is exactly what I’m after at every start of a brand-new day.

This routine gives me a smooth, radiant and brighter complexion which is exactly what I’m after at every start of a brand-new day.

I happily start this brand-new day with the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel – which I’m anxiously running low of – which gives the face a polishing and brightening effect. I will then indulge myself with a few too many spritzes of Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist. It feels immensely refreshing and gives that extra punch of hydration and glow which was much needed during the winter months. Next I dab a bit of Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado under my eyes. Now it’s time for the real deal, the one hydrating serum I can’t see myself ever without, expensive but a real treat for dry skin: Sarah Chapman Intense Hydrating Booster which provides the skin a boost of hydration, as the name suggests. Finally I finish off with the Ole Hendrikson Truth Creme Advanced Hydration moisturiser. I once said that I had never really found a moisturiser that excited me to the point I’d repurchase it. Well, I might have just found my first real favourite with this beautiful citrus-scented goodness. It gives proper hydration to the skin: it’s lightweight, melts into the skin and contains vitamin C which does help to bring your skin to life. It smells amazing and makes my skin feel and look awake. I’ve never been this much in love with a moisturiser, so that alone says it all.

This routine tackles dryness and dehydration, obviously something I struggle with during winter. I’m a true believer of layering products on top of each other to get the most out of it. This concoction provides me maximum hydration and radiance. My skin feels super lovely and smooth – what more can I ask?

Lovely crop of products, Alice! My routine definitely doesn’t change as much. I try new things, but I also hold on to several staples. Definitely been meaning to try Oskia and Sarah Chapman tho!

Thanks Sunny! I normally don’t change my routine that much either, that’s also why I was so surprised to see everything had changed. You should really try Oskia as it seems to work on every skin type – as far as I know. And Sarah Chapman, so far I love everything I have tried from her range – that should also mean something … :p X
