Charlotte, you amazingly skilled lady, your work is truly mesmerising: Creator of hypnotic, sultry eyes defined with the famous feline flick, killer cheekbones, and dewy skin. What a handful. She’s a connoisseur when it comes to painting faces; Armed with her artillery she’s able to move mountains by transforming you into the most irresistible woman ever. It’s no understatement that she creates the best version of you — no surgeon of any kind needed. A little, no wait, make it a long make-up sesh with the one and only Mrs. Tilbury, oh yes, it has to be every girl’s wettest dream. Well, at least it’s mine. #girlcrush
Talk about muse. You’ll get sucked into her passion and obsession for make-up whenever she talks and breathes. It’s no wonder that she created her very own make-up line. She has always been a huge fan of Tom Ford make-up so I expected no less. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty of her make-up goodnesses.
It’s no secret that Charlotte is the queen of eyeliner so I had to pick at least one. I easily chose Marlene Midnight: A very deep navy blue with a beautiful iridescence to it. I just couldn’t resist the colour, swoon. It applies as smooth as a liquid liner while it equally embodies the qualities of a good kohl liner: soft yet richly pigmented. I’m sold.
I love me some nude lip liners. I’ve had a hard time choosing between Pink Venus and Pillow Talk and I finally ended up going with Pink Venus thanks to its peachy hue. Do I regret this? Yes, no … Well who knows. I have been wearing this all over the lip topped with a layer of lip balm which results in a juicy, plump, and perfected pout. However, I didn’t find this to be particularly creamy and somewhat uncomfortable to apply. Note that my lips are currently cracked and very sensitive as if it’s winter, and I don’t blame them because it sure feels like that, so I haven’t reached for it that often so I guess it deserves more testing before I bring the verdict in.
A twist concealer pen that promises to conceal and treat at the same time. Sounds like we will be getting along well huh? And wow, it’s a good night sleep in a tube, what a life saver. I’m not very sure if it’s the best at concealing very dark circles but who really cares when it does such a good job at brightening? Let me picture this for you: Imagine yourself looking at a dark cloudy sky (must be easy peasy for those who live in BE) while suddenly the sun starts shining in its full glory. Who cares about the damn clouds now? Well, you’ve impressed me so far: It’s your best man when it comes to brightening, concealing whilst being moisturising at the same time. Yup, no caking you’ve got that right. My new favourite concealer? We’ll see about that but you’ll have to forgive me for now, Nars.
Well hello, you gorgeous! I’ve definitely kept the best for last. I haven’t been able to put this palette down for even one day — slightly obsessed to say the least. Prime is a pale pinkish champagne. Enhance is a burnt amber which has completely won over my heart. Smoke is a bronzy brown. And finally pop which is a press-on gold glitter that twinkles delightfully onto the lids. Those warm hues are right up my street, together they create such a pretty eye look. There’s not one shade that will be left untouched. The colours are richly pigmented, velvety soft, and an ease to blend. This might easily be named Alice’s favourite eye quad.
These ar my initial thoughts on her products. In depth review will be up soon including a WOMF #2 and swatches. Have you tried any Charlotte Tilbury make-up?
