Spring Buds is part of Deborah Lippmann’s spring collection 2014. It has actually been in my nail polish collection the minute it came out. It has been well-loved during spring and it has definitely made its journey into summer.
I should’ve done a review on this nail polish so much sooner but I struggled to display my pictures in high definition, and as I’m a perfectionist at heart I could not bare to see this picture blurry, but now that things have all been figured out I can finally show you my picture in all its glory, and since it’s still widely available in stores and online it really deserves a full blog post of its own.
It’s a yellow-based green which is such a unique colour and a stand-out in my nail polish wardrobe. It represents spring and summer perfectly: Leaves turning green whilst the sun is shining its first sun rays, we all love that moment. In the mean time months have passed and this colour is still summer-appropriate! It fits beautifully with a tan and matches my warm skin tone naturally. Deborah Lippmann never really fails formula-wise. It’s a creamy, opaque formula that’s easily applied in two coats without being streaky. It has a glossy shiny finish which I very much like!
I have been loving a good green nail polish, especially pastels. They seriously melt my heart, I’m obsessed. This may not be a true pastel colour but it’s definitely one worth checking out if you have not laid your hands on it, it’s such a beaut …
