Charlotte has make-up down to a tee, and her eyeshadow quads are no exception seeing that I’m slightly obsessed to say the least. I had set my mind on this gorgeousness the moment I laid my eyes on it. Sounds quiet cheesy but the honest truth. Yet another brown-toned palette, you might think, but nothing is less true. The Dolce Vita Luxury Palette may consist of only four shades but makes creating multiple looks effortless. And to let you in to a secret: The one to hold responsible for making me cave is no doubt that burnt amber shade, swoon.
Prime is a pale pinkish champagne colour that does a great job at highlighting and brightening.
Enhance is a burnt amber which made my heart flutter wildly and makes the palette worthwhile.
Smoke is a bronzy brown and guarantees instant drama for a more intense look.
Pop is a press-on coppery gold glitter which provides instant glamour.
Doesn’t it have a touch of Tom Ford to itself? The composition of the quads are quiet similar and texture-wise they do come close. All four shades are obviously hand-picked by Mrs. Tilbury herself since they all work harmoniously together: It’s got your day and night looks sorted — lugging around different quads now belongs to the past. These shades compliment blue-eyed girls best, so they say, but luckily brown-eyed ones can rock about anything.
Charlotte sure knows how to please because it’s no secret that I’ve fallen hard for this warm-hued quad — guilty as charged. The shades are spot on and undoubtedly your best autumn companion. The warm-toned shades are right up my street. The colours apply very smoothly, are richly pigmented, buttery soft, and an ease to blend. I’ve experienced no fall-out and the longevity of the eyeshadows are sublime. You can easily build up the colour that takes your look from daytime to an amped-up night look.
What’s on my eyes?
I’ve applied Prime in the inner corners and on the inner third of my eyelids. Enhance in the outer V. Tiny bit of Smoke in the outer corner to add definition and pressed on Pop in the middle of my eyelids. I’ve smudged Enhance under the lash line and a tiny bit of Smoke at the outer end. You can easily tone it down or smoke it up. I’ve created one that sits right in the middle of the spectrum.
Alice’s favourite eye quad? Slightly obsessed to say the least.
