Burberry Effortless Eyebrow Definer

My latest brow acquisition is the Burberry Effortless Brow Definer (£22.50) in the shade Ash Brown. It’s a double-ended automatic brow pencil with a slanted tip on one end and a spoolie on the other, which is already good news to begin with. The slanted tip facilitates the job exceptionally being so quick and easy to use, effortless as the name suggests. It allows an easy creation of either natural or bold brows, whatever your preference is, without having to worry much about detail work. Ash Brown is the best colour match I’ve found so far for my pitch black brows. A couple of shades lighter with the right amount of ashy undertones and let me gladly announce you that red undertones didn’t make it to the finish line. If you however need an option that’s a tad warmer in tone, you should give Hourglass Arch Brow in Dark Brunette a try. It’s very lightly pigmented, much lighter than Hourglass’s, which is actually a good thing when it comes to brows: it ensures that brows are not easily overfilled, which is certainly a perk for beginners. Longevity-wise, it sorts my brows out for the rest of the day apart from the tail bit, which always tend to fade when I use any kind of pencil.

So whether you’re in for natural or bold beautiful brows, this badass will sort it out for you – your wishes are his commands …

Anything that saves me time in the morning is a winner in my books. That’s mainly the reason why I’m an advocate of slanted pencils to use on a daily basis rather than something like my beloved SUQQU Brow Pen (review: here), which is something I reserve for more special occasions – which is actually also really convenient considering the hefty price tag. So whether you’re in for natural or bold beautiful brows, this badass will sort it out for you – your wishes are his commands …

I am going to look into the Hourglass one in the US I think – I am still more of a powder girl for my brows right now, but I am looking to venture into new options. Also Anastasia Beverly Hills is now finally available in my hometown and I’ve heard great things, so i’ll look into those too!

Thanks Alexandra! I sadly haven’t tried anything from Kiko yet. That brand looks SO promising! I’m wearing this here => http://aliceyeh.pro/wp/look-du… and http://aliceyeh.pro/wp/how-cre… Hope this helps! X

You mean brow pencil right? :D Oh but yes, it must’ve been big love between you two! I really recommend it, it’s actually my favourite I’ve tried so far! Hope you’ll find a colour match to your brows! X

This pencil’s packaging is so pretty! I prefer powder brow products, I feel like I have better control over the application but I might look into these.

Hi Agata! I’ve actually never really used powder for my brows. Mainly because I’ve failed to find a colour match but they say that powder looks most natural though. Whatever works best for you, but I’d love for you to try this out. Something tells me you’re going to love it! ;)

Hi Jen! I haven’t tried either of them but I’m glad you’re enjoying your new Lioele brow pencil! ;) I really wish I had easier access to Asian brands though! :(

I’m glad to hear you like this so much! I also have Ash Brown, but I still prefer Hourglass Soft Brunette. Ash Brown is a little too grey on me if that makes sense? I agree you can get get soft, natural-looking brows out of this as well as a bold and dramatic one tho :)

Hi Sunny! Yes I know you prefer Hourglass’ version in Soft Brunette and I’m glad you do. I have Dark Brunette so there should be a difference shade-wise. I do love both, it’s just that Ash Brown is a better fit for my brows and I like that it’s not that pigmented. I tend to overfill my brows with Dark Brunette, oops! :p

Haha oh I’ve done that with literally EVERY brow product… oops :p

I don’t blame you Sunny, lol. Brows are too easy to overfill/overdraw! :p

This looks good! I’m a fan of eyebrow pencils, it’s just so easy and effortless (I’m quite lazy when it comes to my brows).
