Rouge Dior Baume Lili, a neutral lip offering that has earned a permanent place in my handbag. One that saves the day when solely a lip balm doesn’t cut it anymore or when you’re bored of whatever lip shade you have on, at least you have Lili at arm’s reach, on which you can always rely on – one that truly fits all. During the colder months, I went through a phase where only matte lips mattered, but ever since the sun has been creeping its way through on a more regular basis, it looks like I have been craving something lighter and fresher, and Lili couldn’t have come at a better timing.
A lipstick concoction that carries the best of both worlds: great pigmentation and absolute comfort, which puts an end to having to choose between either make-up or skincare.
Dior Rouge Baume is formulated with ten times more nourishing agents than any other Dior lipstick. A lipstick concoction that carries the best of both worlds: great pigmentation and absolute comfort, which puts an end to having to choose between either make-up or skincare. Lili coats my lips in a neutral raspberry shade with excellent colour payoff, one you would not necessarily expect at the looks of its name. It’s the perfect everyday shade for me: neutral in the way that it’s not too red, brown or pink – just the perfect inbetweener. That’s a lot of perfect in one sentence, but it’s rare that I find something that suits me so well, so excuse the raving.
A lightweight and nourishing formula that sits comfortable onto the lips throughout the entire day. The buttery and creamy formula goes on extremely smoothly without clinging onto dry patches or emphasising fine lines. As a result you get a plumped and fresh pout with a reasonably glossy finish, which ultimately dries down to a lovely stain. It sort of gives you time before applying another coat. Despite the luscious buttery formula, it stays in place all day – it clearly doesn’t have a life on its own.
Although I’m convinced that it’s a universal flattering shade, I like to think that it has been tailored especially for me. The shade is such a perfect match. It’s that kind of lipstick that you can easily slap on without giving it much thought: it will always fit whatever make-up or outfit you’re wearing and it’s quite forgiving in terms of application. Finally a lipstick that allows you to have the best of both worlds: awesome pigmentation, amazing comfort and astonishing packaging. A lipstick will always remain a girl’s best friend, right?
