An Everyday Lip Offering

Rouge Dior Baume Lili, a neutral lip offering that has earned a permanent place in my handbag. One that saves the day when solely a lip balm doesn’t cut it anymore or when you’re bored of whatever lip shade you have on, at least you have Lili at arm’s reach, on which you can always rely on – one that truly fits all. During the colder months, I went through a phase where only matte lips mattered, but ever since the sun has been creeping its way through on a more regular basis, it looks like I have been craving something lighter and fresher, and Lili couldn’t have come at a better timing.

A lipstick concoction that carries the best of both worlds: great pigmentation and absolute comfort, which puts an end to having to choose between either make-up or skincare.

Dior Rouge Baume is formulated with ten times more nourishing agents than any other Dior lipstick. A lipstick concoction that carries the best of both worlds: great pigmentation and absolute comfort, which puts an end to having to choose between either make-up or skincare. Lili coats my lips in a neutral raspberry shade with excellent colour payoff, one you would not necessarily expect at the looks of its name. It’s the perfect everyday shade for me: neutral in the way that it’s not too red, brown or pink – just the perfect inbetweener. That’s a lot of perfect in one sentence, but it’s rare that I find something that suits me so well, so excuse the raving.

A lightweight and nourishing formula that sits comfortable onto the lips throughout the entire day. The buttery and creamy formula goes on extremely smoothly without clinging onto dry patches or emphasising fine lines. As a result you get a plumped and fresh pout with a reasonably glossy finish, which ultimately dries down to a lovely stain. It sort of gives you time before applying another coat. Despite the luscious buttery formula, it stays in place all day – it clearly doesn’t have a life on its own.

Although I’m convinced that it’s a universal flattering shade, I like to think that it has been tailored especially for me. The shade is such a perfect match. It’s that kind of lipstick that you can easily slap on without giving it much thought: it will always fit whatever make-up or outfit you’re wearing and it’s quite forgiving in terms of application. Finally a lipstick that allows you to have the best of both worlds: awesome pigmentation, amazing comfort and astonishing packaging. A lipstick will always remain a girl’s best friend, right?

Oh my, Dior makes the best lip products, I swear! At first glance, it looks like a traditional lipstick (and color too), but it really does give a good amount of pigmentation without being too much. it looks beautiful on you! I have the Dior Lip Glow and the formula is just perfect – it’s not too sticky and it keeps my lips moisturized.

oooh looks so pretty…edible almost. I can see why you think it might have been made just for you Alice bahah its PERFECT on you! Its funny….I love the creamy balmy type lipsticks/glosses in the winter coz thats when my lips are dry and the more matte shades for the summer coz I feel like my lips can handle them then. So im never in sync with whats “in” for the makeup season! Love the colour of that shirt/sweater too btw!

  • Lily

I have this in Garden Party and it’s very pretty. I might just get this for the name :-)

  • Jaa

Quite a bit more pigmented than I thought for a “baume” formula! And stays on ALL day, too?! Impressive! I’ve never paid attention much to this line but maybe that has to change now! You look lovely!

  • Kiss & Make-up

Cute shade! You wear colorful lippies sooooo well.

  • jenn @Abeautifulzen

i like this color. i waffled between it and doirette and got the latter. i haven’t cracked mine open yet but i’m glad this lasts the entire day. i didn’t know if i wanted to fork over the cash for a high end sheer balm thing but i gave in.

Hi Jenn! A girl deserves a treat once in a while, right? ;) Oh and I wouldn’t say it lasts the ENTIRE day. It definitely needs re-application but as it dries to a stain it gives you quite some time before applying a second layer! X

  • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Ahh I really need to try a more pigmented Rouge Dior Baume! As much as I love Dior and Dior lippies in general, this formula doesn’t really speak to me as much as the others. Absolutely adore Lili on you tho! I have the nail polish and it’s one of my favorite nudes :)

    • Alice Yeh (叶翠云)

Hi Sunny! Oh really? I know you and Dior go on very well so I’m surprised to hear that! But this was exactly what I was looking for and the shade is a great match as well – I couldn’t be happier. Next, I really want to check those new Givenchy lips out! I know you like those, right?! X

      • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Yup those are closer to Addict Extremes in terms of color payoff. I’ve only had less pigmented Rouge Dior Baumes maybe that’s why.

        • Alice Yeh (叶翠云)

I like the sound of that! Oh, I understand. I was really happy with the pigmentation of Lili, so maybe it’s worth checking it out! ;)
